For most devices needing repair, a deposit is required to secure its place in our queue. The deposit is applied to the client's end balance or retained if a repair is not possible. In instances where it's an obvious repair like back glass repair for an iPhone or cracked glass repair for a Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphone, then the full cost is required upon booking the device with us. Micro Fix focusses on consumer electronic repair. Major brand smartphone, tablet, laptop and video game consoles repairs. Also offer services for Apple products which are iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple Watch repairs
Straightforward repairs -- broken glass repair, phone screen replacement, phone battery replacement, phone charge port replacement, etc = 3-5 days
Complex repairs -- multiple faults on a single device, thorough diagnostics and repair on a device's motherboard, etc = 2-6 weeks
Client's receive updates via e-mail and/or text message on the device's repair status
Micro Fix does not offer any rush same-day or next-day repair services. Our technicians methodically work through the queue of devices booked in here. Most device's booked in with us are of the complex repair variety which need detailed troubleshooting and lead-time for the relevant replacement part(s) required to complete it. We are contacted with client's that need a micro USB port replaced on a baby monitor or a printer USB replaced on a sound mixer. If it's a repair that makes sense for us (and the part is available) then we will consider it. We offer a tiered repair warranty starting at 30 days and goes up to 90 days for the specific fault and parts used to fix it. The final invoice issued will detail the warranty coverage offered. Micro Fix only sends out robust repairs, and have a low rate of warranty problems/returns. Every now and then, something needs a tweak. If a repaired device is not working optimally, then we are happy to look at it again and see what we can do
We offer a discount on labour cost for any repair for full-time students or pensioners who book in a device with us. Also offer business-to-business discount for 5 or more devices booked in for bulk repair with us. Contact us with your particular repair need and we will see what we can do
All payments must be settled before the electronic device Micro Fix has serviced can be released. Payments can be made with cash, EFT, debit & credit cards, tap-to-pay services (Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and FNB Geo Payment. Our standard payment policy is that any open invoice must be settled within 30 days or the device in question will be forfeited. Micro Fix reserves the right to re-sell any device (where no written communication has been received from the client within 30 days of our 1st notification to collect & pay) to defray our costs
Micro Fix offers recycling of unwanted or end-of-life electronics free of charge. When broken or unwanted electronics are put into our landfills, toxic chemicals and non degradable substances can seep into the ground and our water supply - endangering our environment.
